Board News, June 2023

We are deep into delinquent dues work. “Last chance” letters have been written and mailed asking about 150 people to bring dues up to date before we work with the Osage County courts. Many are stepping up and remembering this legal commitment. It is a big task, but we are working on this goal all year as promised. Osage County has judged in our favor so far, allowing us to go after assets to recoup the dues. We are encouraged.

We are also going over our spending to find a few less expensive ways to keep the community beautiful. But costs we have! The kitchen ceiling recently needed repair due to a leaking air conditioning unit on the roof. The air unit has been repaired and the ceiling replaced. We are still negotiating about the floor and wall cracks that resulted from foundation problems. The maintenance crew is also working on shade for Oakwood Pool. The rose bushes have been fertilized and dead branches removed, courtesy our board pres Sherry Leslie and former pres Kathy Hinkle.

Covenant violators are also getting letters and responding positively. The Social committee, the Architecture Review committee and the Finance Committee met to discuss plans, and the Landscape & Sustainability committee is starting to gear up—let us know if you’d like to join any committee (you don’t have to be on the board). Click here and we’ll contact you.
